Black Friday: Store and mall opening hours

Stores are gearing up to welcome shoppers Thanksgiving night for the start of Black Friday shopping.

Shoppers this year are finding that Black Friday is starting earlier than last year. Many retailers are now opening their doors and rolling out deals Thanksgiving night instead of Friday morning, some as early as 8 p.m. Below is a list of when stores and malls will kick off the shopping extravaganza:

Sears: 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Toys R Us: 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Wal-Mart: 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Target: 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Best Buy: midnight

Kohl’s: midnight

Macy’s: midnight

JCPenney: 6 a.m. Friday

Radio Shack: 6 a.m. Friday

The Grove: 8 a.m. Friday

Citadel Outlets: 9 p.m Thanksgiving Day

Westfield Culver City: Mall common areas open at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day; nearly all stores open at midnight

Camarillo Premium Outlets: midnight; some stores will open at 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

Irvine Spectrum: midnight

The Outlets at Orange: midnight

Westfield Santa Anita: midnight

Westfield Topanga: First stores open at midnight, with more to follow early Friday

Glendale Galleria: 5 a.m. Friday (some stores will open earlier)

Americana at Brand: 7 a.m. Friday

Westfield Century City: 8 a.m. Friday (some stores will open earlier)

South Coast Plaza: 8 a.m. Friday (some stores will open earlier)

Fashion Island: 8 a.m. Friday (some stores will open earlier)
