Christian Audigier’s English Tudor in Windsor Square lists for $3.3 million

Share

Another home owned by the estate of late fashion designer and marketer Christian Audigier has come to market, this time in historic Windsor Square, for $3.299 million.

Audigier, who helped popularize the clothing brands Von Dutch and Ed Hardy, owned a collection of homes at the time of death last year. Among them is a Spanish-style home in Hancock Park, which sold recently for $1.657 million. Another property, a rustic retreat in Topanga, is pending sale with an asking price of $1.995 million.

The Windsor Square estate, a handsome 1920s English Tudor, is obscured from the street by a vine-wrapped fence. A brick walkway leads up to the entrance, where a pair of wrought iron gates open to a covered landing.

Inside, period finishes and thoughtful updates take center stage within more than 3,300 square feet living space. Among details of note is a formal living room, with a rolled ceiling and a centerpiece chandelier, that opens to the formal dining room. Lacy white molding keep the eyes moving upward in the home office.

The master suite has a pair of walk-in closets and a sunlit sitting room. A second master suite, on the third floor, has a shower lined in black stone. The home has a total of five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Outdoors, raised garden beds flank a walkway leading to a two-story guest house with a full kitchen. A swimming pool and spa and a chandelier-topped deck/dining area also lie within the quarter-acre grounds.

The property last changed hands nine years ago for $2.695 million, records show.

Rory Posin and Kristian Bonk of Results Real Estate Group hold the listing.

Audigier, who died last year at 57, used his connections with celebrities to help turn brands such as Ed Hardy and Von Dutch into global powerhouses. In 2011, he sold the Ed Hardy label for $62 million.
