Former Tiger Damion Easley lists custom estate at $5.5 million

Baseball fans, take note: A custom estate owned by former Angels and Tigers infielder Damion Easley has come to market in Glendale, Ariz., for $5.5 million.

Commissioned by the retired ballplayer and built in 2005, the Tuscan-style contemporary features a ballpark vibe with custom baseball field-themed showers, a bedroom with a scoreboard mural, a trophy gallery and a gym with an indoor batting cage.

Within the 14,731 square feet of living space are formal living and dining rooms, a dual-island kitchen, an office/den, a home theater with a karaoke stage, six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. An upper-level entertainment area has a family room, a game room and a wet bar.

Outdoors, the nearly two-acre grounds swing for the fences with a wiffle-ball field, a putting green, a sports court, a sunken trampoline, and a lagoon-style pool and spa with a water slide. Elsewhere is a six-car garage.

Easley, 45, played 17 seasons in the major leagues with the Angels and Tigers, among others, earning an all-star nod and Silver Slugger Award in 1998. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Peoria Padres of the Arizona League and runs the Warrior Baseball Academy.
