Saints’ Drew Brees lists penthouse in Hawaii for sale

Getting an early jump on his offseason is quarterback Drew Brees, who has priced a penthouse apartment in Princeville, Hawaii, at $1.75 million.

The New Orleans Saints star, who lays claim to multiple investment properties, pruchased the unit in 2006 for $1.761 million, records show. Nathan Smith of Century 21 All Islands is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Found within Pu’u Poa Condos on the north shore of Kauai, the unit features walls of glass and an enclosed atrium with wide views of Hanalei Bay. The 1,752 square feet of living space has a kitchen with a breakfast bar, a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

An ocean-facing lanai adds an additional 400 square feet of space.

The NFL veteran has been in sell mode as of late, divesting himself of two homes in the San Diego area over the last four months. He and his wife, Brittany, own other property in Southern California as well as Kauai County and New Orleans.

Brees, 36, came within 48 yards of notching his fith 5,000-yard passing season in 2014, finishing with 4,952 yards and 33 touchdowns. The prolific passer has earned six first-team All-Pro nods and a Super Bowl title in 14 seasons with the Chargers and Saints.
