Director Francesco Carrozzini sells contemporary gem for $5.9 million
Angular edges jut from the walls and ceilings of this contemporary home, which recently changed hands from Italian photographer-director Francesco Carrozzini to HATCHBEAUTY co-founder Ben Bennett.
Carrozzini sold the house to Bennett last fall for $5.9 million, or about $1 million less than the original asking price, records show.
The Marshall Lewis-designed estate sits on 3.8 acres in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, taking in views of the surrounding canyons from multiple balconies, patios and gardens.
Jagged shapes and geometric lines accent both exterior and interior. Custom windows in the living room, dining room and bedrooms take in views of the grounds, and glass doors on both levels open to terraces and patio areas.
The 5,446 square feet of interior has tall ceilings and hardwood floors throughout. Amenities include a gym and a movie theater with a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace. The master suite, one of four bedrooms, features dual walk-in closets and a custom bathroom.
Stone surrounds the swimming pool in the backyard. Lawns and landscaping fill out the setting.
Carrozzini bought the home three years ago for $5.4 million, records show.
Carl Gambino of Westside Estate Agency and Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker Residential were the co-listing agents. Merrie Kung of Keller Williams Beverly Hills represented Bennett.
Carrozzini’s first feature-length film, “Franca: Chaos and Creation,” debuted in 2016. The 35-year-old director has also collaborated on music videos with artists such as Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and ASAP Rocky.
