Two kitchens at Jenny Craig’s $39.5-million home in Del Mar

News of Jenny Craig’s home in Del Mar being for sale made a huge media splash recently, but, in fact, the oceanfront estate has been available since February.

Priced at a weighty $39.5 million, the property last sold in 1986 for $3.25 million, public records show.

Oddly enough, the weight-loss guru’s home has two kitchens.

Also within the 8,000 square feet of living space are five bedrooms, 6.5 baths and a media room. There are separate guest quarters and a four-car garage. The three-quarter-acre site has room for parking an additional 20 cars inside the gated driveway.

Outdoor entertainment areas include a swimming pool, a spa and a large patio with a fire pit stretching along the 80 feet of sandy beach.

Craig, 81, founded the weight-loss company bearing her name in the early 1980s. The company, which has more than 700 locations worldwide, is now part of Nestle Nutrition.
