Joshua Morrow, famous for his longtime role on the daytime soap “The Young and the Restless,” has bought a stately home in Westlake Village for $3.295 million and sold another in Pacific Palisades for $5.4 million.

His new house, which abuts the golf course at the Lake Sherwood Country Club, has 6,000 square feet of interior space that opens in dramatic fashion to a two-story foyer complete with a winding staircase.

The main floor holds a formal living and dining room, as well as a center-island kitchen. Wood paneling frames the walls of the office and family room. In the master suite, there’s a fireplace and sitting area. French doors open to a terrace with mountain views. In total, there are five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Brick and stone patios cover most of the backyard, which also holds a pool and spa.

Records show the home previously sold a year ago for $3 million.

Kathleen and Robert McLean of RE/MAX Olson & Associates were the listing agents for the Westlake Village property, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

The Pacific Palisades home Morrow sold is Traditional in style and has six bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and about 5,100 square feet of interior space. Features include an updated kitchen, a formal dining room and a living room with a marble-topped wet bar. In the master suite, there’s a separate sitting room.

The house, built in 1989, was sold off-market, records shows. He bought the property in 2012 for $3.755 million, according to public records.

Morrow, 43, has starred in “The Young and the Restless” since 1994. In addition, he formed the boy band 3Deep in 1998, releasing an album titled “Yes Yes Yes … No No No” the following year.
