Veteran NBA forward Lou Amundson has purchased a house in Manhattan Beach for $1.805 million.

The home, found on a corner lot in the beach city’s Tree Section, riffs Midcentury style with exposed beams, lofted ceilings and rows of sliding glass doors. Open interiors expand to nearly 2,600 square feet across two floors and include a den, a dining room and an updated kitchen.

A living room with a balcony and fireplace and a master suite with a large walk-in closet and soaking tub are among the features. In all, the home counts three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

Sale of the property closed on July 1, according to public records. The home originally came to market in May for $1.649 million.

With the purchase, Amundson becomes the latest sports figure to decamp to Manhattan Beach. Last year, Lakers guard Steve Nash paid $4.8 million for a home in the popular beach city. WNBA guard Diana Taurasi purchased a home in the area in June for $3.3 million.

The Ventura native, 31, has played for eight teams over a span of eight professional seasons, most recently with New Orleans and Chicago during the 2013-14 campaign. He is currently a free agent.

Nicholas Schneider of South Bay Brokers Inc. was the listing agent. Jenny Morant of Coldwell Banker Residential represented Amundson in the sale.
