Kings’ co-owner Mark Mastrov is looking to draft a buyer for his Lake Tahoe estate

Share

Sacramento Kings co-owner Mark Mastrov is asking $35 million for his Lake Tahoe waterfront compound known as the Pines.

The 24 Hour Fitness chief executive and founder apparently practices what he preaches. The 13.6-acre estate in the Glenbrook, Nev., area is outfitted with a basketball court, a three-hole golf course with a practice green and two gyms. The smaller gym is off the master suite, and the other is in a converted two-car garage. There’s a swimming pool with a spa, waterfalls, a covered bridge and trout ponds. Or one can just soak in the gorgeous lake views.

The 14,000 square feet of interiors are equally impressive. A 35-foot-tall living room with two sweeping staircases is topped by exposed wooden beams. A floor-to-ceiling granite fireplace creates a focal point in the room.

The lake-fronting dining room features a fireplace, built-in cabinetry and an adjoining butler’s pantry and wine room. Other living spaces include a game room and bar, a home theater, an office, a master wing, four guest suites and a multi-use dormitory.

The property contains of a contemporary mountain-lodge style main residence built in 1998, a guesthouse, a second guesthouse or caretaker’s home, the detached garage building in use as a gym and a workshop.

The guesthouse, built in 1996, has a redwood exterior. Some 3,000 square feet of space includes a beamed ceiling great room with carved fireplace mantle, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The two-story caretaker’s house has knotty pine interiors, a wood-burning fireplace, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

Granite boulders and towering pines dot the property.
