Power couple Jane Fonda and Richard Perry vote with their feet
Just in time for the elections, actress and political activist Jane Fonda and music producer Richard Perry have sold their house in Hollywood Hills West for $8.5 million.
The traditional-style home was built in 1942 for actor Ronald Reagan and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman, according to Ronald Reagan Presidential Library archives.
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom main house, a swimming pool, a Balinese-style pool house and a tennis court sit on the three-quarter-acre view lot.
Fonda, 74, won an Oscar in 1972 for her work in “Klute” and another in 1979 for “Coming Home.” She has protested the Iraq and Vietnam wars and advocated for women’s rights.
The actress is in line for a comedy series in the works at ABC called “Now What?” Fonda will play First Lady Nancy Reagan in “The Butler,” a movie due out next year.
Perry, 70, has produced albums for such singing stars as Rod Stewart and Carly Simon. Fonda and Perry started dating several years ago and recently bought a house in the Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills.

Includes a polo, not political, arena
A 30-acre equestrian property that was once part of ranch land owned by Ronald and Nancy Reagan when he was California governor is on the market in Murrieta’s Tenaja Valley at $3.9 million.
The spread includes a five-acre seasonally fed lake, a lakeside house, a regulation-size polo field with two grandstands, an eight-acre pasture, nine corrals, three wells and a 2,750-square-foot barn with skylights. The 1,500-square-foot house, built with stones from the site in 1996, features two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The property is part of more than 750 acres the Reagans bought in the area in the late 1960s and sold more than a decade later.

Exorcising ghosts in Beverly Hills?
Actor-screenwriter Billy Bob Thornton has listed his mansion in Beverly Hills for sale at $9.995 million.
Built in 1929, his 11,012-square-foot Spanish-style house features a two-story living room, a recording studio, a gym, a library, nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The walled and gated lot of more than a half-acre includes a swimming pool, a spa, fountains and a paddle tennis court.
Thornton bought the property with his then-wife Angelina Jolie in 2000 for $3.75 million from former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson), according to L.A. Times archives.
Thornton, 57, directed, wrote and starred in the movie “Sling Blade” (1996), for which he won a best screenplay adaptation Oscar. He subsequently appeared in “The Apostle” (1997), “Armageddon” (1998) and “Pushing Tin” (1999). This year, he directed, co-wrote and appears in “Jayne Mansfield’s Car.”
The blues singer-songwriter, who has released several albums, is the author of “The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts,” published this year.

Pistons action off the court
Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores and his wife, Holly, have put a house in gated Mulholland Estates up for sale at $10.75 million.
Although the Multiple Listing Service considers the community in the 90210 ZIP Code to be the Beverly Hills Post Office area, The Times’ Mapping L.A. database shows the mansion sits within Sherman Oaks.
The Mediterranean, custom built in 1992, features a family room with exposed beams, a paneled library, two bars, five fireplaces, a screening room, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 11,107 square feet. Arched glass doors in an enclosed loggia lead to the lawn, a saltwater swimming pool with spa, a bathhouse and a gazebo on the more than three-quarters of an acre of grounds.
Billionaire Gores and his Beverly Hills-based private equity firm, Platinum Equity, became the owners last year of Palace Sports and Entertainment, which includes the Pistons.
The couple paid $4.595 million for the property in 1999, public records show. They own a house on Grosse Ile, Mich., south of Detroit, and other Westside properties.

All part of his new normal
Whether or not a $6.5-million offer was music to “Glee” co-creator and writer Ryan Murphy’s ears, he has let his Malibu beach house go for that amount. Murphy bought the contemporary Mediterranean last year for $6,562,500.
Entered through a courtyard with a koi pond, the nearly 2,100-square-foot view home along the ocean includes two fireplaces, three en suite bedrooms and a powder room. The beachfront deck features a cabana, a spa, an outdoor shower and a fire pit.
Murphy, 46, co-created “American Horror Story” (2011-present) and this year’s comedy “The New Normal.” The “Nip/Tuck” creator wrote and directed the movie “Eat Pray Love” (2010).

A cliffhanger for Venice home
Director-producer Renny Harlin has listed his house in Venice at $1.999 million.
The three-level home features an open floor plan, radiant-heated polished concrete floors, balconies, two master bedrooms with fireplaces, another bedroom, an office and 21/2 bathrooms in 2,756 square feet of living space.
Harlin, 53, has worked on such films as “Die Hard 2” (1990), “Cliffhanger” (1993) and “Deep Blue Sea” (1999). On television, he has directed episodes of “White Collar” (2012) and “Burn Notice” (2011-12). He is an ex-husband of Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis.
Harlin paid $1.7 million for the property in 2004, public records show. He has been leasing it out.
