Actor Sylvester Stallone has sold his retreat at Lake Sherwood for $4.2 million.

The 1.75-acre property in Thousand Oaks sits on more than 500 feet of waterfront. A 3,600-square-foot main house, built in 1946, has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Additional structures include a boathouse, guest quarters and caretaker’s quarters.

Stallone, 65, first starred in the mid-1970s as boxer Rocky Balboa in the “Rocky” movie series. He went on to play John Rambo in “First Blood” (1982) and has continued that role as recently as 2008 in “Rambo.” Last year he starred in “The Expendables,” and he will appear in “The Expendables 2,” due out next summer.

The lakefront property had been listed at $4,495,000. Public records show he bought the house in 2008 for $4.85 million.
