Is it industry or science? Maybe, if you are willing to count as industry the work ethic of Theodor Seuss Geisel or as science his fictional machine that removes or re-affixes belly stars. But the Museum of Science and Industry has long been as eager to please its big crowds as it has to adhere strictly to the mission implicit in its title. And this traveling collection of Seussiana is very much a crowd pleaser. Yes, the artworks by Geisel are only careful reproductions of his originals, just as in the books so many know and love. But there are so many of them -- and they are so new to people who know Seuss only from the still-potent children's books -- that they cannot help but engage the audience. Runs through Jan. 8.
