Pitbull is trying to live up to the "Mr. Worldwide" title he has given himself, bringing a paella of Latin beats, Euro dance, hip-hop and reggaeton to the mainstream. As he says on his website, his music is "catching a lot of people's ears," and his "Planet Pit World Tour" is a steamy summer music party worth catching. Why go: Pitbull's album "Global Warming" won't be out until the fall, but the tour includes a preview including the first single, "Get it Started" featuring Shakira. Reconsider: What is this manly world coming to when Pitbull is promoting low-calorie vodka? 7:30 p.m. Friday at Charter One Pavilion, 1300 S. White Drive; $35-$150 (show was rescheduled from July 26. All tickets will be honored and refunds available at point of purchase); livenation.com
