Linda Eder

Last year, singer Linda Eder released an album that many of her fans thought would never happen: a musical reunion with her ex-husband, songwriter Frank Wildhorn. The two had divorced years earlier, and though Wildhorn and Eder's careers once had been practically inseparable, Eder seemed to have left those days behind to push ahead on her own. Her enormous, luxuriant, one-of-a-kind voice certainly needed no other career to lean on. For listeners around the world who valued the traditions of Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and other larger-than-life American divas knew full well that Eder was the next great voice in that tradition.Read the full Linda Eder interview6:30 and 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Viper Alley, 275 Parkway Dr., Lincolnshire; $30-$75; 847-499-5000 or viper-alley.com
