Thomas Ware, father of Sgt. Albert Ware, and Albert's wife Plichette Ware, hold U.S. flags during a service at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Sgt. Albert Ware, an Army infantryman from Chicago, was killed by an improvised explosive device Dec. 18, 2009, in Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents Anna and Thomas Ware, his wife Plichette, and children, T'John, 5, Heaven, 4, and Musu, 3.
