Three Maywood men were left wounded early this morning following a shooting in the west suburb, officials said.
About 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a call from a citizen who wanted to speak to them about an earlier report of shots fired, said Maywood Police Chief
When they arrived to the 1700 block of St. Charles Road, three men approached the officers and said they had been shot.
One victim, 29, suffered a wound to his right elbow. Another man, 22, was shot in his left knee. The last victim, 31, was shot three times in his left arm and twice in the back, Curry said.
A 22-year-old man skinned his knees as he fled the shooting.
All of the victims were taken to Loyola University Hospital, where their injuries were thought to be non-life threatening, Curry said.
As of 7 p.m., no one was in custody for the shootings. Police were investigating.
