Alan D. Lev has been named chairman of the American Cancer Society's Illinois Division board of directors. Lev starts his two-year term as the society's senior non-medical volunteer official in Illinois immediately. He will oversee the organization's volunteer governance and activities in the state. A 22-year volunteer with the society, Lev has has served as an officer on the board for seven years. He succeeds Mary E. Pierce, SPHR, who served a full two-year term as chairwoman. Lev is president and chief executive of the Belgravia Group, Ltd., a Chicago residential homebuilder. He has a bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago. The society's Illinois Division also elected: Zachary Fortsch as its first vice chairman, Sue McWilliams as second vice chairman, David Seaman as treasurer and Phil Davis as secretary.
