An Arlington Heights man who prosecutors said forced two girls, beginning when they were 11 and 13, to have sex with him and took video of the acts was sentenced in Cook County Circuit Court today to 30 years in prison.

Danny Sims, 44, of the 2200 block of Nichols Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He has been in custody since his arrest in November 2011.

Prosecutors said Sims began molesting the first victim when she was 11 and continued until she was 17. Authorities allege that Sims also began having sex with the girl’s friend when she was 13 and continued until she was 16.

Prosecutors said Sims took photographs and video of the sex acts with the girls, and some of those images were found on his computer.

Sims was arrested after the girls told a relative that he wanted both of them to have sex with another man, prosecutors said.
