Thibodeau's new deal: When a coach is the fastest to 100 victories in league history and has finished with the best regular-season record in his first two seasons on the job, you lock him up. And that's what the Bulls did on Oct. 1, when they announced they agreed to a four-year, $17.5 million extension with Tom Thibodeau. Questions remain about whether Thibodeau's stickler-for-detail style and insistence on exhaustive preparation can work long term. A more talented roster would help his title chances. This is indisputable: He wrings the most out of every team he coaches.
