The upcoming Chicago production of "The Book of Mormon" will put single tickets on sale to the public March 19, Broadway in Chicago said Tuesday.
But if you have an American Express card, you can buy tickets at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2. The "presale" will take place through all usual outlets (in-person buyers avoid Ticketmaster fees) and will end at 11:59 p.m. March 15.
Then on March 19, the Bank of America Theatre box office, at 18 W. Monroe St. only, will open for in-person sales at 12:01 a.m., for what the presenter hopes will be a long and photogenic line of buyers. Other outlets will begin sales at 7 a.m. that day (including online sales through Ticketmaster).
The tickets are for performances Dec. 11 to March 3, 2013, although the show is expected to be around for much longer than that. Group tickets are already on sale. Broadway in Chicago's ticketing line is 800-775-2000 or online at broadwayinchicago.com. Prices are $45-$115, with premium seats available.
