Police are asking for help locating four Chicago Bulls championship rings that were stolen from the Bronzeville home of a former Chicago Bulls front office employee.
The man hired a group of contractors on Nov. 13 to do work at his home on the 4300 block of South King Drive, police said. But when he returned to the home, he discovered his rings were gone.
The victim, a man who used to work for the Bulls, told police the rings were a size 12 and had been personally engraved. The rings were from the years 1991, 1993, 1997 and 1998, police said.
Police could not say if the man was a victim of a scam, whether he was targeted by someone who knew he had possession of the rings, or if it was just a crime of opportunity.
Anyone who has information about the theft should contact the Area Central Bureau of Detectives at (312) 747-8382.
