Let's discuss Chicago's role in presidential politics, as well as the stakes and the issues facing all of us in the 2012 election.
As the GOP convention gets underway in Florida, we're preparing to talk more with you and with leaders on both sides of the political aisle about the 2012 campaign.
To that end, Tribune Editorial Page Editor Bruce Dold will moderate Chicago Forward: Windy City White House 2012, a forum beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, in the Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Dr.
Panelists so far include businesswoman Christie Hefner; Bill Daley, the former White House chief of staff; and Jim Edgar, former governor of Illinois.
The event is one of the Chicago Tribune’s regular public Chicago Forward forums to discuss issues of importance to Chicago and the region. It’s sponsored by ComEd, and you can get $15 tickets online here, which include both the conversation and a chance to mingle afterward.
