If you've already got your tickets to the fourth annual Chicago Gourmet, which takes place Sept. 24 and 25 in Millennium Park, here's a way to plan your assault on the two-day food and wine festival.
The Illinois Restaurant Association, which organizes the event, just released the full schedule of cooking demonstrations and wine/beverage seminars (included with general admission), plus the schedule of celebrity-chef book signings (for which you'll have to buy the book, available on-site). Find the schedule on the Chicago Gourmet website.
So, for instance, around 12:45 p.m. Saturday. you might want to head over to the Bon Appetit main stage and grab front-and-center seats to the "Beast Feast" demonstration featuring Jimmy Bannos (Purple Pig) and Stephanie Izard (Girl & the Goat). Or maybe you'd rather head over to the easternmost demonstration tent for the mixology seminar (12:45-1:30 p.m) featuring Bon Appetit's Andrew Knowlton, Blackbird's Lynn House and The Drawing Room's Charles Joly.
As for which chefs will be preparing food when, Chicago Gourmet isn't telling. Not yet.
