One man was killed and another seriously wounded after they got into an altercation in a club in Englewood early this morning, police said.
The two were shot around 12:45 a.m. just south of the club in the 6600 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.
One of the men was shot in the head and died on the sidewalk, according to police. The other man, 33, suffered a wound to the stomach and ran to a home in the 1400 block of West 67th Street and called police. He was in critical condition at Stroger, police said.
The pair had been involved in an altercation at a club three doors south of where the shooting took place, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the man as Deshaun Williams, 25.
Two other men were wounded in shootings near Garfield Boulevard and Kedzie Avenue and in the 2700 block of West Lexington Avenue.
The shooting on Kedzie happened about midnight in a Walgreens parking lot just north of Garfield Boulevard in Gage Park, police said. A 23-year-old man was shot in the knee outside the store and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Police said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing conflict between two gangs in the area. Two cars filled with gang members were in the parking lot before the shooting, witnesses told police.
The earlier shooting on Lexington, in the Lawndale neighborhood, was the second shooting there in two nights. A 25-year-old man was shot in both legs by someone in a green vehicle. He was taken to
