A car that landed on the CTA Blue Line tracks that run in the middle of I-90 snarled traffic and train service this afternoon near O’Hare International Airport.
About 3:15 p.m., the car, apparently traveling on the Kennedy Expressway, went over a retaining wall and landed on southbound tracks of the CTA’s Blue Line near Rosemont Avenue, according to a CTA spokeswoman.
There was no immediate information available about how the accident occurred of if the driver of the car was injured.
There were no reported injuries of CTA employees or passengers, officials said.
All inbound lanes of I-90 were closed near the accident scene as of about 3:45 p.m., according to an Illinois State Police trooper.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
