Authorities today released a surveillance photo of a man who robbed a Loop bank on Wednesday.
The man walked into a Citibank branch, 222 W. Adams St., about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and handed a teller a robbery note, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
The man lifted his waistband to show a “shiny object,” but the teller was not certain whether it was a gun. The teller gave the man money, and he fled, Perez said.
The man was described as black, between the ages of 40 and 45, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11, weighing 200 to 220 pounds, with brown eyes and a dark complexion, said Perez. He was wearing a skull cap, a multi-colored top and jeans. A photo of the suspect shows a man wearing what appears to be a sweatshirt or jacket with a light blue right arm and side, a light grey central panel and a darker-colored left arm and side.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
