After a brief hiccup, trains are running across the Wells Street bridge this morning, according to the CTA.
That will come as welcome news to commuters using Brown Line and Purple Express trains, which were both affected last week by a major rehab project that shut down the bridge.
"Last-minute track work" continued into this morning, causing a 13-minute delay on the first scheduled Brown Line run of the day, CTA spokeswoman Tammy Chase said.
That seemed to be the extent of the delays, and service returned to its normal schedule, she said.
The CTA later re-tweeted a photo of the first train to cross the bridge this morning.
