Outfielder Kiki Cuyler was among the fastest players to run the bases in the 1920s and 30s. Cuyler joined the Cubs in 1928 after a trade with the Pirates. His best year with the Cubs was 1929 when he hit .360 and stole 43 bases, one of four seasons where he led the National League in stolen bases.
