Dana Zimmer has joined Tribune broadcasting as president of distribution. Zimmer will be in charge of negotiating deals with cable, satellite and telco providers to carry the company's 23 television stations and WGN America. She will start May 13. Zimmer, 43, has been executive vice president of TV Networks Distribution for NBCUniversal since it was acquired by Comcast in January 2011. She oversaw distribution deals for the company's owned-and-operated stations, cable networks and regional sports networks. Previously, she was executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing for Comcast since 2005.
