If you like to blend exclusive food and fashion then Dose Market is the place to be this Sunday.
This week the monthly market, located in the River East Arts Center (435 E Illinois), will feature fashions by Chalk, a pop up tea house by X-Marx and Rare Tea Cellars and free champagne cocktails (if you arrive before noon) from the Aviary boys, including top bird Grant Achatz. That all comes in addition to the rest of its artisan food and fashion vendors.
If you ask us, the pop up wuchang tea house sounds like the most interesting bit with rare teas and even rarer (in these parts) eats that will include steamed shiitake and lotus buns, smoked tofu with five flavored peanut, savory lapsang souchong custard with pickled chilies and black vinegar and hand-cut cold noodles with fresh greens and sweet soy. Each for no more than $5.
Tickets are $10 at the door and $8 in advance.
