Don't let the SAT become the yardstick to measure California high schools

A bill that would allow districts to substitute the SAT in place of the state's own academic proficiency exam for high school juniors isn't the way.

Proposition 11 would make clear that emergency medical technicians and paramedics working for private ambulance services must remain reachable during paid work breaks so that they can respond immediately when needed.
