Fire damages 2 homes in Logan Square

Firefighters put out a fire this morning after it spread to two homes in the West Side's Logan Square neighborhood.

The fire broke out about 5:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Kimball Avenue, and fire officials called a still-and-box response.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze shortly before 7 a.m., after flames had spread from one building to a second home next door.

No injuries have been reported.
