Duncan Hines

A traveling salesman turned food critic, Duncan Hines wrote very popular guidebooks rating restaurants across the country. He was considered the epitome of taste to such a degree that he was asked to lend his name to various food products, most notably the line of cake. Brownie, muffin and cookie mixes now owned by Pinnacle Foods Group. He died at the age of 79 in 1959. Status: REAL
