The dirty details: During cold season, this is a hot spot for germs. "When was the last time you saw a menu being cleaned?" Brown said. "If one customer sneezes or coughs on a menu, the cold and flu viruses can survive for hours." Even worse: You're bound to touch the menu and then grab a fry or a sandwich, which brings those viruses directly into your mouth. Stay clean: Avoid letting your menu touch your plate or silverware, and wash your hands after you order.
