A man competes during the 2009 Cherry Stone Spitting Swiss Championships on Sunday in Saint-Aubin, Western Switzerland. The small village commemorated the 20th anniversary of its Cherry stone splitting Guild. Each competitor choose five cherries (all from the same tree) and, after eating the pulp, can spit three of the cherry stones on a special blue carpet. This year's woman winner spat a distance of 11.55 metres, while the male champion spat his stone a distance of 14.95 metres.
