A pregnant woman suffered cuts after a bullet smashed through her bathroom window, authorities said.

The woman wasn't hit by the bullet but appeared to have been cut by flying glass, police said.

The shooting occurred about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday as the woman was taking a shower at a home in the first block of East 121st Street in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, according to police and the Chicago Fire Department.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, said fire department spokesman Joe Roccasalva.

“We took her to the hospital as a precaution,’’ Roccasalva said.

A bullet also struck a vehicle outside the home, but it was unclear whether the home was targeted, police said.

No arrests had been made in the shooting.
