( JiJi Press / March 25, 2011 ) Japan Self-Defense Force officers in radiation protection suits hold a blue sheet over patients who were exposed high levels of radiation at the the Fukushima nuclear power plant as they are transferred to the Fukushima Medical University hospital in Fukushima. A total of 17 workers at the nuclear plant have been exposed to more than 100 millisieverts, the level at which the risk of developing cancer rises, plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) says. |
