Jennifer M. Ballard has begun her two-year-term on the board of directors of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois. Ballard, a labor and employment attorney in the Chicago office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been a member of the WBAI since 2008, servings as co-chairwoman of committees, including the Judicial Evaluation Committee, the Programs Committee and the Rise Up and Reach Back Scholarship Luncheon Committee. The WBAI was established in 1914 to promote the interests and welfare of women lawyers and to aid in the enactment of legislation for the common good and in the administration of justice. Ballard represents private and public sector employers in a full range of labor and employment matters, including union organizing efforts, collective bargaining negotiations and administrative hearings before the National Labor Relations Board. She has a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and B.A. in 2005 from Spelman College.
