Jim Patrician is being promoted to president and chief executive of Coordinated Benefits Co., effective Jan. 1. He has been senior vice president of the employee benefits advisory firm serving businesses in the Chicago area, Downstate Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. He joined the firm in 2006, helping its business double in size. Patrician previously was vice president for another major Midwest employee benefits consulting firm and with Prudential's managed care division, PruCare of Illinois. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and an MBA in finance from DePaul University. Founder John Rippinger will remain with the firm as chairman.
