Former Chicago Ald. Marian Humes (8th) and former Chicago Ald. Cliff Kelley (20th) sit on a City Council Committee on Human Rights and Consumer Protection on July 23, 1982. Both later were convicted of crimes. Humes was convicted in 1989 for taking bribes from a government mole; Kelley was convicted in 1987 for taking $36,000 in bribes from Waste Management, Inc. and a New York City bill-collection agency seeking city business.
