Joseph A. Gregoire has been promoted to the newly created position of state chairman for Illinois at PNC Bank. Gregoire will chair business advisory and community support boards, serve as a liaison to state and local government leaders and expand the bank's community involvement. He will work closely with PNC regional presidents and local line of business leaders in the Chicagoland and Central Illinois markets. Gregoire will be actively engaged to select a successor for the Chicago market regional president position. Gregoire joined PNC through its acquisition of National City Corp. in 2008. In 28 years with bank, he has served as regional president for the Chicago/Northern Illinois region, middle market lending manager for Michigan and Illinois; chief credit officer for National City in Illinois; Private Client Group managing director in the state; and president and chief executive Gregoire has a bachelor's degree and MBA from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee. He also has a degree from Prochnow Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin, Madison.
