"Keeping up with the Kardashians" stars Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian are koming to the Chicago area to meet with Kardashian Kollection kustomers.
(See what I did there?)
The famous siblings are scheduled to take part in a meet-and-greet at Sears in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg April 20 from 5-6 pm. The first 200 people in line who have made a Kardashian Kollection purchase between April 15-20 will receive an autographed photo. The Kardashian Kollection includes handbags, lingerie, swimwear, jewelry and footwear and is available only at Sears.
Kim last made a public appearance in Chicago at the Michael Hill jewelry store in Water Tower Place mall in 2010. Kourtney and Khloe appeared at Enclave nightclub in 2009.
New kid on the block: A new restaurant from the team behind Old Town Social has emerged as a go-to destination for celebrities in Chicago. And unlike most of the city’s popular celeb hangouts, this place isn’t located in the River North or Gold Coast neighborhoods.
Nellcôte — whose name and design were inspired by Villa Nellcôte, the 19th century mansion in southern France where The Rolling Stones recorded the album “Exile on Main Street” in 1971 — opened in the West Loop in early March and has already seen Smashing Pumpkins rocker Billy Corgan, former “American Idol” winner Lee DeWyze, Arctic Monkeys, The Head and the Heart and Wilco bassist John Stirratt walk through the door. The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen and Lady Gaga’s DJ, Lady Starlight, will spin at Nellcôte Thursday and Friday, respectively.
But musicians aren't the only celebs coming to Nellcôte. “The Good Wife” star Julianna Margulies, Victoria’s Secret Angel Erin Heatherton, former “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky and the cast of the Dick Wolf TV pilot currently filming in the city, “Chicago Fire,” including actor and Lady Gaga’s boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, have also stopped by. (Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, visited Nellcôte on a recent Friday night when the atmosphere is more bar-like. Because the 81-year-old actor was with his mother, he decided it would be best if they dined at a quieter, nearby restaurant instead.)
Of course, any trendy restaurant can draw a celebrity crowd in its first month or two. The challenge for Nellcôte is to keep them coming back, much like Hub 51 and Sunda have been doing for years.
