Keefer's (20 W. Kinzie St., 312-467-9525) turns 10 years old this month, and the restaurant will celebrate with a month's worth of special deals.
It begins at 5 p.m. tonight, when there will be an open house with complimentary nibbles and Dampierre champagne until 7 p.m. The evening also will mark the unveiling of the "Necklace of Stars," a series of seven paintings by artist/actor/playwright Tony Fitzpatrick, which will be installed in the restaurant's dining room.
For the rest of the month, there will be $10 lunch specials during the weeks of November, as well as Sunday Suppers (three courses, $25) on Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27. Lunch and dinner menu items will consist of Keefer favorites, as well as some dishes culled from chef John Hogan's previous tenures at Everest, KiKi's Bistro and Savarin. Wash them down with specialty cocktails inspired by the elements of Fitzpatrick's paintings.
And to top it all off, valet parking, at lunch and dinner, is complimentary throughout November.
