Lawrence S. Benjamin has been named chairman of SymphonyIRI Group, a provider of innovation solutions and services for consumer, retail and health care companies. Benjamin has more than 25 years of experience leading turnarounds in the retail, consumer packaged goods and food service industries. Most recently, he held executive positions at Royal Ahold. Before that, he was the chief executive of The NutraSweet Co., Specialty Foods and Stella Foods and president of the frozen meals division of Kraft. He has an MBA from Columbia University, a B.A. from Brown University and is currently in the Masters of Public Health Program at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago.
