Lifeline Theatre will stage a new adaptation of "The Woman in White," the 1899 English ghost story by Wilkie Collins that previously became the main source of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, as the opening production of its fall season. Robert Kauzlaric's adaptation, which is not a musical, will open in September.

Another world premiere, "Bridge of Birds: A Tale of Ancient China That Never Was," follows in May 2013. Adapted from the 1984 fantasy novel by Barry Hughart, this adaptation will be the work of ensemble member Chris Hainsworth.
