The man, whose identity was not known, was found at 7:45 a.m. in a recycling facility on the 600 block of East 111th Street, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer VeeJay Zala.
The man was described as in his 20s and was pronounced dead at at the scene at 10:15 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. A spokesman said the man's body was crushed.
Police are conducting a death investigation, Zala said.
An autopsy is expected on Tuesday.
