The same man is suspected of robbing at least four storefront businesses on the Northwest Side this week, including two within 15 minutes.
During the robberies, the man entered the business and approached a cashier before displaying a knife, taking cash and fleeing, police said Saturday in a business alert.
The same man is suspected in at least four robberies:
• On March 3 at about 10 p.m. on the 5300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Gladstone Park neighborhood.
• On March 7 at about 4:50 p.m. on the 5200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Jefferson park neighborhood.
• Also on March 7 at about 5:05 p.m. on the 4900 block of West Irving Park Road in the Portage Park neighborhood.
• On March 8 at about 11 p.m. on the 4300 block of North Central Avenue in the Portage Park neighborhood.
The alert describes the robber as white, about 20-30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170-180 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was wearing a black jacket or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and gym shoes.
