Melissa Benham has been named senior project designer at Simeone Deary Design Group. Benham will manage and oversee aspects of the firm's high-end residential projects. Most recently, she was design manager at Starbucks Coffee Co., where she oversaw the design of new stores and renovations of the company-owned and licensed locations. Before that, she held a variety of positions at Polo Ralph Lauren, Kara Mann Design, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Andre Balazs Properties. While at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, she managed in-house design projects for existing Remde and Bliss Spas throughout North America and Britain. A LEED Green Associate, Benham has an associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from Parsons The New School for Design in New York. She also has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
