Michael D. Cody, principal, FitzGerald Associates Architects

Michael D. Cody joins FitzGerald Associates Architects as a principal. Cody, 43, has extensive experience with office, retail, industrial and civic design work in the Chicago area. He will help expand FitzGerald's retail design services and build a practice that includes more office and industrial work. His move is a result of the merger of Cody Design Group Inc., a multidisciplinary architecture firm Cody founded in 2004, and FitzGerald. Previously, Cody, 43, was a senior project manager with Charles Vincent George Design Group and a project manager with FitzGerald. He has a degree in architecture and construction management from Illinois Institute of Technology.
