Once inside the private event, Jordan took a seat in a security-protected booth in the corner of the restaurant. He was later joined by his former Bulls teammate,
Guests surrounded their booth all night and seemed more interested in getting a photo with Jordan than the actual food (passed appetizers included jumbo shrimp, garlic bread and my favorite, as usual, steak). Most were unsuccessful in getting a photo with Jordan and some even had a hard time just getting a photo of him. Security frequently raised their hands to cover Jordan when they spotted guests trying to take a photo.
The cameras came out in full force when Jordan joined emcee Bill Kurtis in the middle of the restaurant to briefly address the VIP crowd (including the
